A small but dedicated fleet and some playful dolphins was on hand for the last heats of the summer series. The conditions were fantastic, although the breeze swinging meant a couple of course changes. It must have been a long season, because most starts were missed by 5 to 50 seconds.
The first heat saw new members on the Hobie 16 go over, and then battled a starboard rudder that wouldn't say down.
The second saw Peter Hercules starting to get closer to Steve on the Hobie 18. Chris Myers had magic Carpet moving nicely, and Graham Tiplady from Somers was heading the Sabre fleet, whilst Michael Boswell kept them honest in the Sparrow.
Heat 3 was very Interesting, only division 3 came out to play! Everyone got to the windward mark at once, and in the excitement Graham went over, and giving the lead to Colin and the Handicap win to Bryan.
Thanks to Alan Bryson, Kristin Merrington , Anthony and Grace Cook, Frank Jurovic, Ange Pietromonaco, Helen Arnott and Wendy Franke for assisting with a great day.
Good to see Div 3 slugging it out whilst the cat sailers were in the showers! (soft?)
