With the Nacra 17 World Championships complete it brings a close to our European Season of Olympic Class racing.
6 months overseas and 6 events on the Nacra 17 we are proud of what we have achieved and the experiences we have gained.
We peaked at the right time of the year with all of our events being a build up to the World Championships. It was an extremely tough event with only one race completed in the first three days.
The remainder of the event was sailed in a range of conditions between 5 and 30 knots with large shifts making racing tricky.
We are extremely happy with how we performed through the regatta sitting inside the top 15 for most of the event however a tough last race saw us slip back to 17th in the 68 boat fleet.
We cannot thank everybody enough for the support that has been shown over the last six months. We definitely could not have achieved what we have without it. It is a great feeling to be able to represent Australia in sailing.
