James Wierzbowski updates us on the team's preparation for the Youth Americas Cup
The Red Bull Youth Americas Cup starts in a few days and we have just finished our official practice regatta here in San Francisco.
We are happy with the way we sailed over the two days and finished with a 1,3,5,1 over the four races. This meant that we finished in second position, battling it out with the two NZ teams most of the time.
We haven't had a day off for a month now and have been working flat out on the water, in the gym or doing maintenance on our AC45.
The event runs from the 1-4 September (2nd - 5th in Aus) and will be shown Live in Australia on Fox Sports and via the Americas Cup YouTube channel. We have the full media package with on board audio and video, graphics and commentary.
We are 'fleet' racing which is the same as the Americas Cup World Series that has been running over the last 2 years so exiting racing with 10 boats on the course at once is guaranteed.
