Pip and Jimbo finish 11th in the big Kiel regatta and thier improvement is evident with heat placings including a second and third.
We just finished our 3rd event for the tour in Kiel, Germany. Was the biggest event yet with 27 Nacra 17's competing and we are happy with our performance overall. Mid way through the regatta the points "reset" which didn't work in our favour as we were 6th overall at the time. With some poor sailing towards the end of the event we slipped out of the top 10 and finished in 11th position. Little disappointing, but with plenty of lessons learnt we are set for big improvement for our next event which is the World Championship being run in The Netherlands, in 2 weeks.
We are currently training everyday at the worlds venue and in between we have managed to fit in some other exiting sailing such as getting on this boat, a GC32! 23.6 knots downwind in 12 knots of breeze isn't bad!
