Tsunami makes it 2 wins in a row.
John Eriksson and Andrew Fijalkowski made it 2 wins in a row taking out heat 5 of the Commodores' Cup. Light but steady winds from the south made for another great day on the water with a particularly strong incoming tide making laying and getting around the top mark a bit of a challenge. Alan Burrell also sailed a terrific race to take out second place. Through the fleet we saw some great indivdual battles with Michelle and Chelsea coming from behind Pip and Jimbo half way through the race to take third place. Andrew Hill and Adam Smith (with the lovely Karen doing a great job as crew!) also trading places a number of times and bringing themselves undone by both hitting the windward mark on the last rounding. Also a good battle in the Paper Tigers with Chris Myers holding out Bendan Corcoran. The other notable performance was Tom Runting in his Impulse taking out 7th place - well sailed Tom!

Results calculation
Corrected Average Lap Times are calculated by taking the elapsed time for the competitor, dividing by the number of triagles sailed (1 for the Optimists up to 4 for the fastest catamarans), dividing this time by the yardstick for the class (e.g. 164 for the Optimists, 118.5 for the Impulses, 107.5 for the Tasars, 81.5 for the Hobie 16s), multiply by 100 and for catamarans mulitply by a 'Multihull Correction Factor' calculated by the system - for this heat the factor was 1.023.
