Saturday saw WYC host another round of teams racing involving 6 schools
I must admit to a slight sense of panic when I discovered late on Friday afternoon that 60 kids were scheduled to participate in a teams racing event at WYC at 8.30 Satirday - NOT THE WEEK AFTER AS WE HAD IN OUR CALENDAR! Fortunately the usual suspects and a number of newer members stepped up at the receipt of a frantic call for help to allow us to host a fantastic morning of teams racing.
A steady easterly greeted students, parents and coaches from Geelong Grammar, Hailebury College, Penisula Grammar, Scotch College, St Michael's and Xavier College when they arrived at WYC at 8 on Saturday morning. After 15 heats, Peninsula and St. Michael's were tied for first place with Geelong in third. We then hosted another 6 heats for the four school that fielded a second team.
Everyone had a great day thanks to Jim Douglas, Marg Douglas, Bryan & Moira Hill, Alexander and Frank Jurovic, Byron, Georgina and Spencer Ko and Tom Runting.
