21 boats contested and John Erikkson came out on top.
The south-westerly pushed up over 15 knots just in time for heat 4 of the Commodore's Cup on Sunday afternoon. In a close finish, John Eriksson's skills shone through as pushed all the way by Warren Stahel and novice crew Spencer Ko he managed to post a time that put him just ahead of the Hobie 16s of Michelle Bursa and Chelsea Haynes and their coach Robbie Lovig sailing with Pip Pietromonaco. James Fleming had a great race in his new Laser 4.7 to just beat Vincent Cross into 6th place. It was good to see Brendan Corcoran and Eleanor Rich completing their first races for the season but the highlight of the day was Hamish Wynn-Pope completing his first race in the Optimist - well done Hamish!

Results calculation
Corrected Average Lap Times are calculated by taking the elapsed time for the competitor, dividing by the number of triagles sailed (1 for the Optimists up to 4 for the fastest catamarans), dividing this time by the yardstick for the class (e.g. 164 for the Optimists, 118.5 for the Impulses, 107.5 for the Tasars, 81.5 for the Hobie 16s), multiply by 100 and for catamarans mulitply by a 'Multihull Correction Factor' calculated by the system - for this heat the factor was 1.148.
