The big cats dominate in the wind and swell
Storms out to sea brought a sizeable swell to Western Port on Sunday and combined with a 15+ knot south-westerly that made it well and truly big cat weather. Andrew Hill took out the second heat of the Commodore's Cup comfortably over Adam Smith / Will Fleming and Josh Smith with Mark Axton in third place. Rhys Mead managed to come a cropper in the challenging conditions but everyone enjoyed some good close and fast racing.

Results calculation
Corrected Average Lap Times are calculated by taking the elapsed time for the competitor, dividing by the number of triagles sailed (1 for the Optimists up to 4 for the fastest catamarans), dividing this time by the yardstick for the class (e.g. 164 for the Optimists, 118.5 for the Impulses, 107.5 for the Tasars, 81.5 for the Hobie 16s), multiply by 100 and mulitply by the individual's club handicap at the time of the race (based on previous results this season).
