What a wonderful Opening Day. A huge thank you to all members who contributed to making the day such a success. It was great to see so many long term members and Life Members attending. Thank you Harold Weber for your informative talk to Open the club.
It is with great pleasure that the General committee have decided to name the Race Box the Jim Douglas Race Box. A fitting accolade as it seems to have been Jim's second home over many years. They also decided to name the Sailing School shed, the Dillon/Hill Sailing School Shed in honour of the first two Sailing School Principals. Both John and Bryan gave of their time and expertise over many years to teach and support many of our junior sailors, who have gone on to become highly competent sailors in their own right. An appropriate ceremony will be held during the season to formally name the buildings and celebrate these Life Members contributions.
