Venue Information
Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC) is an international standard sporting venue, and is one of the largest integrated sports and leisure complexes in Australia. The venue will play host to several sports during the Games, allowing competitors to get a taste of some of the other sports being played at the Games.
MSAC will haveup to 21 tables available during competition.
How to get there
Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre is located on Aughtie Drive (near the corner of Albert Road) in Albert Park and is easily accessed by boarding a Number 112 tram from Collins Street or a Number 96 light rail from Bourke Street in the City.
Age Categories*
Men / Women 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65-74, 75+
If the two players in a doubles pair fall into different age groups, they may play together in the younger age category.

Competition Details
Events
Singles Men & Women
Doubles Men, Women and Mixed
Teams Men or Women
Singles will be round robin groups of 3 or 4 with the top 2 going into the main draw. An individual will have at least 2 round robin games plus play-offs in the main draw, or consolation draw. Doubles will just have a main draw, while the Teams event will be a round robin and playoffs if required. In the Teams event each match will be 4 singles and 1 doubles and it is planned that there will be a maximum of 6 teams in a group, with play offs for finals.
If individuals without a team wish to play in the team event, please write required in the partner box on the entry form.
40mm Orange Balls will be used in the competition.
Competition Standards
The table tennis competition at the Games will be conducted under the auspices, rules and regulations of the International Table Tennis Federation and will conform to any special requirements of the International Masters Games Association (IMGA).
Table Tennis Victoria will conduct the competition.
Practice Facilities
The venue is available for practice on 6 October 2002.
