Venue Information
InSportz Oakleigh consists of 4 Australian Indoor Cricket Federation standard dimension cricket courts plus a large soccer court that can be used for practice. The facility has excellent change rooms and toilets. Food and soft drink will be available through the kiosk and kitchen in the bar. The large licenced bar area within the facility will cater for the social needs of the teams and will be open throughout the day. The facility is SmokeFree in the playing and kiosk areas.
How to get there
The venue can be accessed by public transport (train) or by car. Competitors can catch a Pakenham or Cranbourne line train from any of the city circle stations in Melbourne and get off the train at Huntingdale train station (about 26 minutes from the city). The venue is a five minute walk from the station.
If driving to the venue from Melbourne, competitors should drive along Dandenong Road for about 20 30 minutes continuing past the large Chadstone Shopping Centre and turn right into Huntingdale Road then right into Railway Avenue the venue will be on the left side of the road.

Competition Details
Rules and Regulations
All games will be played using 8 players, 6 ball overs and 5 penalty for dismissals. The softest type of indoor cricket ball available at the time will be used. One new ball per game will be allocated.
No more than 2 players can be selected in any one team, who in the prior 12 months had been selected to represent their state or region at a national tournament (Open and Masters included)
Competitors can play in a maximum of two grades only, however no guarantee is given that fixtures will not clash.
Players must have played in at least 4 of the round robin games to be eligible for finals.
Teams are expected to wear exact matching tops and when playing all competitors must wear rubber soled sports shoes that will not mark the court.
Teams who do not turn up within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time may forfeit the game at the discretion of the Tournament Director. Forfeits will not be scheduled to be played at a later date.
If individuals without a team wish to be placed in a team, please complete the relevant section on the entry form.
Proposed Competition Format
Age categories will be split into pools if 9 or more teams are entered in any particular age group. The categories may be graded subject to the number of teams entered.
Teams will play each other in a round robin series with each team playing a minimum of 7 games. The top 2 teams from the round robin series will play off for gold and silver and the third and fourth teams will play off for the bronze medal. Each team will play at least one game per day, sometimes two. Game times will be scheduled from early morning to evening.
The venue will provide bats, balls and batting and wicket keeping gloves.
Competition Standards
Competition standards will be in according with the auspices, rules and regulations of the Australian Indoor Cricket Federation and will conform to any special requirements of the International Masters Games Association.
The indoor cricket competition will be conducted by InSportz Victoria through its member InSportz Oakleigh.
Practice Facilities
A large indoor soccer court located at the venue will be used as a practice facility. Prior to the Games, indoor cricket courts are available for practice at no charge.
Social Function
A social function is planned for all participants. The number of teams entered will determine the size and type of the function. Special Awards will be presented at the function.
