Divisions for the 2019/20 season:
Mini Hoops - PP-Yr 1
Aussie Hoops - Yrs 2-3
Sub Juniors - Years 4-6
Mid Juniors - Years 7-9
Teams for these two division will be selected by the committee

Mixed Juniors - Years 10-12 (if we 4 teams nominate or will play in the senior competition)
Seniors- Ladies (Only if we 4 teams nominate or will play mixed seniors)
Seniors - Divisions 1 and 2

Mid juniors and Sub Juniors will be placed in a team. We need coaches and umpires.

During the season Basketball will run the canteen 3 or 4 times. Every team must supply 2 volunteers on the night ½ hour each. Our canteen manager is Kate Taylor.

SENIORS - All players must be registered before Friday 20th October to be eligible to play. Registrations will not be accepted on the night.

Each year in January Basketball WA sends selected U14 and U15 athletes on a Development Tour providing them with the opportunity to compete against development squads from other States at the Southern Cross Challenge tournament in Melbourne.

This tour allows coaches and junior WA athletes to gain experience in high level tournament play preparing them for potent

To nominate for a Hot Shots Skills Day , all registrations will be done online. The Skills Day is open to everyone born 2004 and 2005, and you don't need to be currently playing in a team.

We will again be running our Aussie Hoops (Years 2 & 3), Sub-Junior (Years 4, 5 & 6), Mid-Junior (Years 7, 8 & 9) & Mixed Senior competitions.
No Team Regos for Sub/Mid Junior Divisions will be accepted.
Registrations will close on the 29th of September.

KidSport will assist eligible families to receive up to $200 annually for each of their children aged between 5 – 18 years, to subsidise fees to join a sport and recreation club.

Make sure you come along to watch our teams battle it out in the 2 Grand Final games this Friday night! There will also be a free sausage sizzle for all Club members. Grand Final games are scheduled to start at 6.30pm for Mid-Juniors followed by our Seniors Grand Final at 7.30pm. Presentations will follow.

The Bindoon Basketball Association is holding our AGM tonight, Tuesday 8th of April at the Chinkabee Complex with a 7pm start.

This Friday night is the last night of Aussie Hoops for 2014 - we will be playing a Round Robin with presentations to follow. Please be there for a 6pm start.

Please note that the Game times for the Senior Preliminary finals have been changed from 7.30pm to 8.30pm this Friday night, 4-4-2014.
Mid-Juniors remain at 7.30pm. Good Luck to all Teams.

The U/14 boys had a great weekend winning 4 out of 7 games. They showed great sportsmanship and determination and were very successful for their first Country Champs.
The U/13 Boys won 4 and drew 1 game to finish on top of the ladder and played Eaton in the GF. Unfortunately the boys lost to Eaton by only 2 points.
Congratulations to both boys teams!

Congratulations to our very own Cathy Fisher and Jewel Williams for being awarded Grand Final games at the Country Champs.

U/14 Girls Country Champs Results: U14 Girls won 5 and lost 1 to secure a spot in the Grand Final playing Collie! The girls lost to Collie in the GF by only 3 points. Jewel Williams was awarded the GF MVP Award. A great finish to a great weekend!

U/16 & U/18 Boys Country Champs Results: U16 Boys won 2 lost 3 to finish 4th in their pool. U18 Boys won 6 lost 1 and played in the Grand Final losing to Esperance by only 8 points. Well Done!

The 2014 Country Championships will be scored using Stadium Scoring – an electronic score-sheet. Please follow the link for PDF instructions on using it during the Championships as well as a handy cheat sheet!

Please follow the link for Country Champs 2014 Rules. We advise both Coaches and Team Managers to familiarize yourselves with the Rules and for those entering Teams in U/14 or below, to read the Zone Buster Manual. Zones are not to be implemented in these age groups!

Bindoon Basketball Association will once again be sending representative teams to the BWA Country Championships.
We will be endeavouring to send teams from all age divisions which are currently from U/13 to Seniors.
The Country Championships are a great opportunity for your child to participate in a competitive basketball competition amongst other W.A Country Associations.
