How to get there
Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre is located on Aughtie Drive (near the corner of Albert Road) in Albert Park and is easily accessed by boarding a Number 112 tram from Collins Street or a Number 96 light rail from Bourke Street in the city.
Venue Information
Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC) is an international standard sporting venue, and is one of the largest integrated sports and leisure complexes in Australia. The venue will play host to several sports during the Melbourne 2002 World Masters Games, allowing competitors to get a taste of some of the other sports being played at the Games.
The diving venue is a contemporary facility with dry land training equipment (with harness, crash pads, warm-up mats, and two dry boards) located adjacent to 10 competitive boards and four training boards. Additionally it is equipped with state of the art sport technology that will be on display during the World Masters Games (Force Vector Visualization System, Swinger, MOTION 3D).

Competition Details
Events:
FINA Masters Spring Board 1m, 3m; Platform Diving 5m, 7.5m, 10m
Modified B List Spring Board 1m, 3m; Platform Diving 5m, 7.5m, 10m
Team Synchro A team consists of four divers. The cumulative sum of ages of the team determines the competitive age category. The team may consist of the same or any mixture of the sexes. Each team member will compete one dive with each of the other team members.
Proposed Competition Format
Competitors may compete in a maximum of 4 events and will compete individual events in only one category: all events in the B List category or all events in the FINA list category (eg. he diver may not dive 1 m FINA and 3 m B List). Team synchro members may be comprised of divers from either category.
Men's and Women's FINA competition will be conducted separately however, it will be run back to back.

Team Synchro
-Teams of four compete and may consist of all women, all men, or whatever mixture as long as the cumulative age of the team is appropriated to the correct age group
-Divers may only dive in one team.
-Teams can be determined during the week of competition with dive lists required the standard 24 hours prior to competition
-Each team member will complete one dive with each of the other three-team members.
-Of the six overall dives:
*Two dives are limited to a 2.0 degree of difficulty
*One dive requires both divers to execute forward take-off
*One dive requires both divers to execute backwards take-off
*One dive requires a diver to execute a forwards take-off while the other executes a backwards take-off
Competition Standards
The diving competition at the Games will be conducted under the auspices, rules and regulations of the Federation Internationale de Natation Amateur (FINA - International Amateur Swimming Federation). It will conform to any special requirements of the International Masters Games Association.
The diving competition will be conducted by the Victorian Diving Association.
Practice Facilities
The venue will be available for practice in the week prior to the commencement of the Games. There will also be time allocated for dry land and wet training on a daily basis during competition, although some restrictions may apply. The 5th and the 7th of October will be practice days for divers.
