FNQ FC MEDIA RELEASE | Regarding Paul Cronin
It is with deep sadness, the Skill360 FNQ FC wish to announce the passing of Manager, Paul Cronin who lost his brief battle with cancer late Saturday evening (27/04/13).
Paul's passion for football is well-known; he was an integral part of the FNQ Bulls Queensland State League club and became the go-to man in FNQ FC's Football Department – managing logistics in the National Premier League side.
As a teacher at Woree State High School, Paul inspired hundreds of students over a distinguished career.
His quick wit, kind heart, selflessness and tell-it-like-it-is attitude will be dearly missed by FNQ FC players, staff and supporters as well as anyone who had the pleasure of making his acquaintance.
Paul was diagnosed with an untreatable form of cancer early this week.
Friends and family were with Paul during his final moments at Cairns Base Hospital.
He passed away not long after hearing his Heat won their second match of the season that night.
Media are asked to respect the privacy of the Cronin family during this difficult period.
