CQ Premier League Round 16 Preview
A shortened round, with a few postponements, but two key matches to be decided. All matches played on Saturday, 20 July.
Clinton v Central - Clinton Sports Ground at 7.00pm. The match of the round. The local derby is always hotly contested and with both teams in good form, the local support should be strong. Both teams are guaranteed a spot in the finals, it is just a matter of what position. The home side to get up in a close encounter.
Southside v Bluebirds - Jardine Park at 5.00pm. The winner of this match keeps their fianls chances alive, the loser's opportunity will be fading. Bluebirds had a close tussle with the competition leaders while Southside had a big win against Berserker. Both need it, but who wants it? Bluebirds to win, just.
Berserker v CQFC Energy - Elizabeth Park at 7.00pm. Three rounds to go before the season finishes for both teams. An opportunity for the players to get out there and enjoy themselves, play some open football. A 3 - 3 draw is a real possibility.
