Venue Information
Field: Werribee Mansion is an italienate mansion, constructed between 1874-1877 is the largest private residence in Victoria. The mansion sits amidst ten hectares of formal gardens and is one of the few Victorian era gardens still surviving in concept and design. Field archery will be held in the grounds of the mansion.
Target: The National Equestrian Centre at Werribee Park is the nucleus of Victorias growing Equine Tourism industry. It occupies 73 acres of land between the magnificent Mansion at Werribee Park and Victorias Open Range Zoo. The centre's Chirnside Ground will be utilised for the field component of the archery competition. The area will be specifically laid-out for the Games in accordance with FITA regulations.
Indoor: Werribee Sports and Fitness Centre is a multi-purpose venue that has previously hosted state indoor archery championships. The centre has 6 indoor basketball courts, six outdoor netball courts, two outdoor tennis courts and facilities for netball, badminton, volleyball and table tennis. There is also a canteen, serving both hot and cold refreshments, a well equipped gymnasium and ample on-site parking.

Target Events: The competition will consist of one round shot over two days and archers must shoot south (+ or -) 10 degrees as stipulated by FITA.
Target events will be shot under FITA rules. There will be separate sections for each age group and bow types as set out below.

Indoor Events Archers are required to shoot at 18m with 4 archers per target. They are required to shoot 60 arrows, which takes approximately 2 hours.

The Indoor event will be shot under FITA Rules
Field Event The competition will be shot over two days.
All Age Groups
FITA Field 24 targets in 1 day (3 arrows per target). The distances will be marked (in metric).
IFAA Field 28 targets in 1 day (4 arrows per target). The distances will be marked (in yards & feet).
The Field event will be shot under the respective rules
Competition Standards
The archery competition at the Games will be conducted under the auspices, rules and regulations of FITA. Competition will conform to any special requirements of the International Masters Games Association (IMGA).
Archery Victoria will conduct the competition.
Practice Facilities
The facilities at the Werribee Archery Club at Laverton Lakes will be available for practice. The club is located on Sayers Road, Laverton.
Security for Equipment
There will be no storage available at all venues.
