City Brothers seeking Mens Coach

With the 2013 season about to commence in  the club's 30th anniversary year, new  President Collin McKenzie is desperately seeking a coach for the City Brothers Premier men's team. Having been invited to participate in the new North Queensland club competition, City Brothers are looking forward to putting together a strong squad of players. That competition involves each of the top 4 clubs from Cairns, Townsville and Mackay.

At the Club's AGM, a new executive committee of Collin as President, Sammie Geddes as Secretary and Rob Power as Treasurer were elected.

The Club has prepared a detailed operational plan to improve its performance  both on and off the field this year following its success in hosting games for the full 2012 season at the Vigoro fields. With home and away games to be held  each fortnight, City Brothers is looking forward to hosting  games regularly scheduled on Friday and Saturdays evenings each fortnight.

Aaron Jensen will coach the Premier Womens team this year and a new  coach is also required for the 1st Div Women's team who won their grand final last season. New players for both mens and womens team will be most welcome as several players have left Mackay or are stepping down from playing.

Nathan Gibbs will initially take the mens teams for pre-season fitness training starting from 6:00pm  on Tuesday 22nd January at the Vigoro Fields, cnr Bridge Road and Juliet Streets. Womens training will commence on Tuesday 29th January, 2013. Sign on all players will be on Sunday 3 February from 3:00pm at the grounds.

However, any person interested in playing or coaching Senior mens teams please contact Collin on 0415069444 or come down to the grounds on Tuesday evenings.
