IGA Goals for Kids

The program will be launched in seven zones across the state with a clear focus on engaging local communities through Primary Schools targeting years Prep to Grade 7. Football Queensland CEO Geoff Foster said “The program will be delivered as a free in school curriculum time program with an emphasis on delivering a fun, healthy and active program in a safe and secure environment”.

Football enjoys a strong grassroots participation base and by introducing a program such as this will offer many benefits including the opportunity for many more youngsters to be introduced to the game. Geoff Foster added that “Football Queensland envisages up to 50,000 Primary School aged children will participate in the program within the first twelve months”.

Football Queensland is looking forward to working with the IGA family as we launch this exciting new initiative together
