What does it cost to nominate your team?

The fee for nominating a team in to one of NSBA's Junior Competitions is $100.00. This fee is only payable should your team be accepted into one of NSBA's competitions.

How do you nominate your team?

Returning teams can nominate online via this link (this requires your team code and password), whilst returning teams must download the attached nomination form and return it via email or in person at the front counter.

New teams for the U18 Men competition on Thursday nights must download this nomination form and return it via email or in person at the front counter.

Where are games played?

Games are played at three different venues:

  • North Sydney Indoor Sports Centre - Monday & Friday nights
  • Willoughby Leisure Centre - Thursday and Friday nights
  • Dunnet Hall, Redlands - Friday nights

When do competitions start?

Under 18 Men commence Thursday 28th January

All remaining Juniors commence Friday 29th January

Price Matrix

Below is a general price guide per week for Junior Competition Game Fees. The Paid in Advance figure only applies if a team pays their entire season's game fees at the beginning of the competition before the pre-allocated cut off date.

Individual Registration Fees

Each individual in the team must be registered with Basketball NSW, which can be done through the NSBA website or over the counter. Basketball NSW registration lasts for 12 months.

Junior Competition Format

Scheduling of Games

The following is a general guide for the scheduling of games for each age group. The number of teams accepted into the competition will determine the venue for each division. Time slots are structured so that the younger age divisions play the earlier time slots.

Game Times

Monday - Under 19 Women Division's 1 & 2, Games are at 5:30 pm & 6:15pm.

Thursday - Under 18 Men Division's 1 and 2, First games start at 7:30pm, Last games start at 10pm

Friday - Under 14, 16 and 19 Women, First games start at 4:10pm, Last games start at 10pm

Conditions of Participation

1. Players must be registered with NSBA and must provide photo ID when requested by staff. Eg. Passport or Driver's License.

2. All players must comply with the NSBA By-Laws and Competition Rules.

3. Team grading is the sole responsibility of NSBA.

4. NSBA retains the right not to accept any nomination.

5. A player can only play for one team per division; however can play in more than one division and more than one night.
