Weeks off to Germany

Reigning Waratah Championship League most valuable player Jarrad Weeks has signed to play professionally in Germany.

The live-wire guard impressed scouts in a recent tour of China and will link with Ehingen/Urspringschule in mid-August.

A 2-time Norths Bears MVP, Weeks has captained the club for two years and is generally regarded as the Waratah League's premier player.

The athletic guard has developed all facets of his game playing under Bears mentor Ben Knight and will get the chance to further develop in the tough German competition.

A versatile combination guard, Weeks was the star of the recent Sydney Kings Development tour of China and is set to link with his new club next month.

In other Bears news, promising young centre Daniel Young has signed to play collegiately at Baker University in Kansas.

The robust young Bear has been one of the big improvers in the Waratah League in recent years and will link with the Baker Wildcats mid-August.
