Northern Suburbs Basketball Association is the largest basketball association in New South Wales and home to one of Australia’s leading youth development and participation programs.

Located in North Sydney, the association has more than 5000 members and provides basketball competitions, development and opportunities to the local community.

The Association is currently seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified candidates for the full-time position of NSBA Development and Participation Officer.

This exciting and challenging role will involve:

• Conducting the suite of NSBA after-school development & participation programs
• Recruitment of coaches for NSBA after-school programs
• Providing on-court leadership to the program coaches
• Conducting the NSBA school holiday camps program
• Assisting with transitioning players from development programs into the NSBA local competitions
• Providing support for the NSBA member clubs
• Provision of administrative support in terms of stadium administration and member services

The NSBA has a strong commitment to customer service and the successful applicant would have to possess the ability to play a key role in the communication and assistance to our wide range of members and facility users.

The successful candidate would ideally possess:

• A NCAS Level Two accreditation or equivalent coaching experience
• An understanding of junior development coaching and program leadership
• Qualification in the area of sports administration
• Experience in working with schools and school sporting programs
• Strong computer skills
• Good communication and inter-personal skills

All NSBA Development and Participation staff are required to complete the NSW Working With Children check. 

An appropriate remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
