Under 12
Teams: Mitcham 10.13.73 d Croydon 2.0.12
Summary: Preliminary Final day! It was an all or nothing approach required. In our prematch meeting we reminded these young men that they have done all the hard work and on Sunday they put everything into place and played a terrific game of football. We are very proud of the boys and the effort they put into the game was amazing. Well done boys, enjoy the week and be ready for what should be a terrific game next week. Thanks to all the Mitcham supporters, it will be fantastic to see you all again next week!
Best Players: Team Effort

Under 14 Girls
Teams: Mitcham 0.3.3 v The Basin 3.4.22
Summary: One playing two at Rowville, with the winner going straight into the big dance. We were feeling confident about the game, but unfortunately from the start things went pear shaped - forwards not hitting the ball, backs not staying on their opponents! Our on ballers were being tagged and we had to move girls all over the place - 17 of the girls had under 4 possessions and for the first time this year - no goal kickers! Seeing the disappointment and the tears after the game was hard to deal with, but as a coach, I know these girls have tasted the highs and lows of football. Yes it hurts, but knowing these wonderful young ladies we know they will bounce back! This week we have our neighbours down the road and it will be a hard game. Ladies, this week, let’s stick to the team rules, help your mates, respect the opposition and wear the Mitcham jumper with pride.
Everyone needs to understand that we have a game plan and style that has worked all year. We all need to row the boat together in the same direction – then our Lady Tigers will enjoy the day!
The Basin 3.4.22 to Mitcham 0-3-3

THIS WEEKS FINALS ACTION – Our Under 12 and 13 boys teams will be playing off in Grand Finals this coming weekend (Sunday, August 19), while our Under 14 Girls will be taking on Donvale in a Preliminary Final. The timings are all good to get to all three games so why not get out there and support these three great Tiger teams.
10.00am – Under 14 Girls Preliminary Final – Mitcham v Donvale (Seebeck Oval, Stud Road, Rowville)
12.10pm – Under 12 Boys Grand Final – Vermont v Mitcham (Walker Reserve, Wantirna South)
2.00pm – Under 13 Boys Grand Final – Mitcham v Forest Hill (Morton Park, Blackburn)
The great thing is that you can go to Seebeck Oval in Rowville to see the girls play and it is only a 10 minute drive back up Stud Road to get to Walker Reserve to see the Under 12 boys Grand Final. After that, head back towards home and you can catch the Under 13 Boys Grand Final at Morton Park. What more could you ask for? Well the Social Rooms at Walker Park will also be open from 5pm on Sunday afternoon for everyone to come back and celebrate the seasons of our Under 12 and 13 teams. All welcome!
