Three time Elliott Davey Medal winner, James Webster has added the Hunter Haval Black Diamond Cup Coaches MVP to his list of awards after taking out 2018 award.
Webster received 23 votes, including 20 in the second half of the year, to win by four votes from Killarney Vale captain Josh Mifsud with Cardiff’s goalkicking forward Jack Lennon and Singleton midfielder Sam Brasington a further vote away in third position.
After missing almost the entire 2017 season through injury the Terrigal Avoca midfielder came back late in the year to help the Panthers claim the premiership and also saw himself the McBain Medal as Best on Ground.
After returning to full fitness in 2018 Webster once again demonstrated that he is arguably the best player in the competition.
The Coaches MVP award is voted on by the coaches after each game.
