NTS Player Rules 2013
Taken from NTS & CTS Rules 2013 v2
NTS Declaration of Squad
- All players MUST be registered online via http://reg.sportingpulse.com
- Squad size - Online registered NTS squads can be made up of an unlimited number of players, however, the maximum number of players that can be selected to compete at any one tournament team is 14.
- Teams must be ‘selected’ and playing shirt numbers confirmed online prior to each NTS. The cut off point for online amendments will be 6pm on the Friday prior to a tournament.
- A registration sheet/disclaimer form will be printed off and will be provided to the team captain at the NTS event registration.
- All Team registration sheets/disclaimers are to be signed by all team members and returned to Tournament Control by no later than the commencement of your team’s first game. No player is to take the field until they have signed the registration sheet/disclaimer. Teams found breaching this condition of entry will automatically forfeit all games until this process is completed.
- Minor amendments to the team list can be made during tournament registration prior to the first game. This does NOT include players being added to the team lists.
- You must ensure that player numbers are correctly allocated.
- No team should have two players wearing the same playing number.
- Failure to complete the form, or any errors/inaccurate information on the form could result in any NTS points gained being forfeited. This will be retrospectively done if an error is found post event after, points have been awarded.
- If any team is found guilty of using more than 14 players, and/or an unregistered, or illegal player, they will forfeit all games up until the matter had been investigated and resolved. If the issue is highlighted post event, the maximum penalty will be the forfeiting of any NTS points gained.
NTS Player Loans and Transfers
Loan
- A registered NTS player can play for another NTS side other for one event only. The player would be classed as a ‘Loan’.
- Teams can only play with one loan player in their side.
- No loan players allowed in the NTS finals.
Transfer

- All players in the NTS finals teams must have played in at least one regular NTS event for that team prior to the finals.
- Both transfers and loans must be applied for, and can be done via the team management site.
- Failure to report a transfer/loan, or failure to meet any of the above rules will lead to a maximum penalty of any NTS points gained at the tournament in question being forfeited.
- Players can only be registered for one NTS side at any time unless ‘loaned’.
- Any one player can play for a maximum of two sides in one season.
Definitions

CTS Player - A player who has played in less than two NTS events. For the purposes of the first CTS, a player will be defined as one who has played in less than two NTS events in the previous season.
NTS and CTS Player loans/transfers
- The Sporting Pulse team management site will not be used for the CTS until 2014, therefore teams will have to register players via a paper form at the event. NTS players must be clearly identified at registration.
NTS to CTS
- For 2013, CTS teams may contain up to two NTS players per tournament.
- We ask for teams to be sporting and honest with this. You will be asked to declare NTS players on the registration form at the CTS event.
- Any team found exceeding the quota of NTS players could have the CTS points gained at the tournament in question forfeited.
- Teams are reminded to act sportingly and in the spirit of the Series in their selection of players.
CTS to NTS
- A CTS player may play for an NTS team for one event without being classed as an NTS player. They will automatically class as an NTS player when they play in two events.
- A CTS player must be registered on the NTS squad list online even if they will be playing at only one event.
Additional non-standard loans and transfers can be applied for, and will be considered by the ETA Tournament Director. Justification must be provided to tom@englandtouch.org.uk
Any non-standard loan requests granted will be published on the ETA website.
All NTS squads, loans, and transfers will be published and kept up-to-date online throughout the season – http://eta.sportingpulse.net
