The 2012 hummel F-League series two competition sizzled in Sydney’s Morris Iemma Indoor Sports Stadium at Riverwood over the June 23rd and 24th weekend as futsal again was on the tip of everyone’s tongue in NSW after what was a scintillating opening round one in Melbourne.
In what was a perfect weekend for futsal in Sydney, Dural Warriors were deemed the team to beat after notching up six from six victories and cemented their heavyweight status while Victorian Vipers finished up in second position five points adrift of top spot.
There were also notable performances by the Boomerangs FS and Parramatta Blues while the two other Victorian sides Jaguars Futbol Sala and Melbourne Heart were left languishing at the foot of the table with much work to do in Series three of the competition to be played in the Nations Capital.
An ultra-impressive 101 goals were notched up over the three rounds in Sydney with Boomerangs star Daniel Fulton and Dural attacker Jarrod Basger leading the goalscorers charts with 11 strikes each.
Series Three of the hummel F-League moves to the ACT at the AIS Training Halls on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd of July for the next round of matches.
