EOI Skill Acquisition Program (SAP) Coaches
Gippsland Soccer League is calling for Expressions of Interest for Coaches to be a part of the 2014 Skill Acquisition Program (SAP) in the Central & East Divisions.
The Skill Acquisition Program (SAP) is the official Football Federation Australia’s (FFA) Talented Player Pathway for boys and girls aged 9-12 years of age. The objective of the SAP nationally is to identify and assemble the most talented Australian 9-13 year old boys and girls into a National Accredited Program in order to teach them the functional football game skills.
There are currently SAP’s underway Australia wide and in time will be an added component of the newly established National Premier League Victoria (NPLV) competition. The SAP forms the basis of FFA National Football Curriculum and is the first phase of the agreed elite development pathway. The program focuses on developing the four core skills (First touch, 1 v 1, Running with the ball & Passing/Striking the ball).
After the successful establishment of the South Gippsland SAP in 2013, the Gippsland Soccer League will now be including SAP’s in the Central and East Gippsland Divisions. The SAP’s will also form the feeder into Gippsland Soccer League Emerging Talent Programs currently running in 2014.
