The Gippsland Soccer League awards Life Membership to members who have made an outstanding contribution to the development of football within the region. Any GSL member or director may nominate an individual for admission as a Life Member.
To be eligible for life membership, the nominee must:
• have been a member of the Gippsland Soccer League and/or the member clubs for a minimum of 10 consecutive years
• have undertaken an official role within the Gippsland Soccer League or have provided significant input to the league by giving above and beyond over an extended period of time.

A Person may be nominated for inclusion in the Gippsland Soccer League Football Hall of Fame under two categories, as follows:
i. Legend: Status available only to competitions
ii. Member: Status available to all other sports people, including administrators, coaches, scientists, sports medicine and sports media.
