2014 Country Championships - GSL Squads
Under 14 Boys
The GSL U14 Boys had an outstanding tournament going in to the series Final undefeated and without conceding a goal after scoring 19 Goals of their own in the tournament Qualifying Rounds.
Having played outstanding football the GSL U14’s progressed to the Final against
Bendigo
The Gippsland boys responded by scoring from a penalty of their own going into the halftime break with the score at 1 – 1 all.o, as the Final commenced Bendigo scored the first goal of the match after being awarded a penalty.
Soon after the match recommenced after half time break, Bendig
o were awarded another penalty which had the boys at a 2-1 down score line in Bendigo’s favour.
As throughout the tournament the Gippsland boys dug deep to fight back and again scored an equalizer after a quick thinking free kick to make it 2-2 all, and with the score still locked at 2-2 all at the final whistle, this talented group of boys then went on to jointly win the U14’s Country Championship Title.
