MONASH SOCCER CLUB GOES PINK
On Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th May Monash Soccer Club is supporting the Female Football & Pink Ribbon Week in Gippsland. This event has been designed to promote Female Football in the Gippsland Region, encourage participation in outdoor activity and to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Research. We are asking our members and the community to show their support by wearing something pink to the club on this weekend. 


What has been planned for the weekend at Monash Soccer Club so far is:

  • All teams will be wearing pink socks.
  • Our lines will be painted pink, with a pink ribbon on the main pitch and pink corner flags on both grounds.
  • Women’s, Under 14’s & 17 Girls teams will use Pink Ribbon match balls (kindly donated by Gippsland Soccer League).
  • Women’s, Under 17 & Under 8 girls teams will be wearing Pink tops for their games.
  • Our Under 8 Girls will be playing a game during the half time interval of the Women’s match on Sunday.
  • Special guest appearance B1 & B2 from Bananas in Pyjamas on Saturday from 12-2pm and Sunday from 2-3pm. Gold coin donation to take your own photo with B1 & B2 – all proceeds will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).
  • Raffle $2 a ticket drawn Sunday 12th May – all proceeds will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).
  • Pink Merchandise – all proceeds will be donated to NBCF
  • Sausage Sizzle Saturday & Sunday – all profits donated to NBCF.
  • Slushies Saturday & Sunday – all profits donated to NBCF.
  • Crossbar Challenge Gold Coin entry at the half time interval of the Under 17 Girls team – all profits donated to NBCF.
  • Other items being sold over the weekend to raise money are Pink Socks, Cupcakes, Slices – all profits donated to NBCF.

ALL PROFITS FROM: PHOTO’S WITH B1 & B2, SAUSAGE SIZZLE, RAFFLE, FAIRY FLOSS, SLUSHIES, PINK SOCKS, PINK MERCHANDISE, CUPCAKES & OTHER FOODS WILL BE DONATED TO THE NATIONAL BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION. 

ON SATURDAY THE 11TH MAY

  •  9:30am Small Sided Games
  • 10:30am Under 14 Girls v Churchill
  • 11:45am Under 12 Boys v Falcons
  • 12 NOON TO 2PM – SPECIAL GUEST APPEARANCE B1 & B2 FROM BANANAS IN PYJAMAS
  • 1:00pm Crossbar Challenge
  • 2:00pm Under 17 Girls v Fortuna
  • 2:30pm Under 15 Boys v Tyers


ON SUNDAY THE 12TH MAY - ROUND 7 MONASH V’S FORTUNA 60

  • 11:00am Reserves
  • 11:00am Senior Women Match of the Day - During ½ time of Women’s Game the Under 8 Girls will play
  • 1:00pm U21/Youth
  • 1:00pm 2nd Division v Traralgon City
  • 2PM TO 3PM – SPECIAL GUEST APPEARANCE B1 & B2 FROM BANANAS IN PYJAMAS
  • 3:00pm Senior Men

The players and members from Monash Soccer Club are looking forward to promoting this weekend for such a worthy cause.
