REPORT RACISM

Racism has no place in football.

At Bendigo Amateur Soccer (BASL) we expect that everyone in our football community respect and treat others the way they expect to be treated. We are blessed with a wealth of participants, volunteers and supporters from a diverse range of backgrounds and wish to celebrate the inclusive nature of the world game in our region.

Bendigo Amateur Soccer League (BASL) is determined to stamp out racist behaviour, to ensure the integrity of our game. In recent years it has become clear to the league that we lacked effective tools to receive and effectively respond to reports of racial incidents. To assist in ensuring there is a clear, easy to action method for this we have developed a form for the anyone to advise of racial incidents and through this form ensure the complaint is received directly to BASL and allow us to follow up all reports in a timely and effective manner.

Racism can take many forms, such as comments and exclusions that cause offence or hurt, sometimes unintentionally; name-calling or verbal abuse; harassment or intimidation, and can often manifest through unconscious bias or prejudice.

If you have been racially abused, or have witnessed racist behaviour towards another individual, report the incident to BASL by submitting the Report Racism Form BASL Incident Report & Racism Jotform

To assist BASL in achieving a game free of racism, complete the ‘report racism form’ to the best of your ability.

Please note, if you choose to remain anonymous, or not provide any contact information, the report submitted may not be able to be followed up.
