Creating a “Female-Friendly” Club
How does your club encourage more women to get involved, whether as a player, as an official, a committee member or simply as a spectator?
How can your club make the environment be more inviting, safe and welcoming for women and families?

This session will explore the barriers to women getting involved in clubs and help develop practical strategies to encourage greater involvement of women within your club.

How “Social Media Savvy” is your club?
Is your club using, or considering using Facebook or Twitter?

This session will discuss how and why clubs use Facebook and Twitter as well as explore what operational strategies and supporting policies your club can put in place to ensure the world of social media is a positive place to be.

Women Take the Lead - Geelong

This workshop / get together will provide women in sport and recreation with the opportunity to:

• Understand themselves as leaders

• Develop leadership skills and interpersonal skills

• Meet other like-minded women and share experiences

• Hear from women who have broken down the gender barrier

• Become part of an ongoing sports women’s network.

When: Wednesday 5 March
Time: 5.30pm – 8pm
Where: Deakin Cats Community Education Centre, Simonds Stadium Geelong
Cost: $20 per head (Catering supplied)
