New Broadcast Arrangement

Unprecedented coverage of football will be available as of July next year. FFA recently annouced a 4 year deal with FOX SPORTS, Foxtel and SBS which will allow Australians to access comprehensive, world-class coverage on multiple platforms.

Under the new agreement, viewers will now be able to tune in to games on subscription TV, free-to-air TV, internet and digital devices. FFA Chairman, Frank Lowry AC, says that the deal will help build on the popularity of the game from the already 1.7 million grassroots participation base.

FOX SPORTS will provide live coverage of Socceroos and A-League games until June 2017.

In addition, FOX SPORTS will be the Australian rights holder of the AFC Asian Cup Australia 2015, broadcasting exclusively live coverage of the 32-match tournament.

The renewal of the FOX SPORTS and FFA partnership will extend the relationship to 12 continuous years.

Commencing in the 2013/2014 Hyundai A-League season, SBS will broadcast of the Friday night match on a one hour delay. SBS will also provide free-to-air coverage on a one-hour delay of all Qantas Socceroos FIFA World Cup qualification matches played in Australia and overseas from now until 2017.
