Conclusion of FFV Licensed Apparel Program

Following the conclusion of the FFV Licensed Apparel Program, clubs will be able to access and wear apparel from any company they wish.

After starting in 2007, the program has been concluded following a recent case in Queensland regarding a similar program. While FFV is confident its program is beneficial to clubs, and the future of the game in Victoria, the continuation of this program does leave FFV open to potential legal action and all the attendant costs and use of resources of such legal action.

Therefore, FFV believes it is prudent to discontinue the program to avoid attracting the negative outcomes of any such legal action.

Clubs will need to continue to observe the requirements of the apparel licensing program set out in the current Rules of Competition until 30 November 2012.
