Breakwater Eagles 5 Geelong Rangers 1
The eagles were too strong at home for a solid Geelong Rangers side, who were dealt a big blow early loosing key playmaker Darren McCallum to injury. Eagles controlled play for long spells with rangers looking a threat on the break. The game finished 5-1 with a few stunning strikes from Matt Ward, Daniel Sharp, and Brandon Duthie. While Nick Wilson put in an industrious shift with a poachers finish goal for reward. There was also time for a debut goal from u17s forward Nick Clissold who walked past a couple of defenders and coolly slotted in from the edge of the area to add to his impressive five goal haul earlier in the day against Lara under 17s.
