Skills Development Programs
We have had a lot of queries about when Kings Academy is going to start up again.
We have tried several ways of running the Kings Academy with limited success in previous years, the main issue being finding a time when everyone who wanted to could attend.
So we are looking at doing things a bit differently this year and there will be a couple of options for players who are not currently in the BTas programs (FDP/SDP), but who want to improve their skills.
The first option is to join a BTas/Huskies Skills Development Program. We have just received information about this program and you can find details about this by clicking on the attached document. The key thing is if you are interested in this check it out quickly as expressions of interest close this Friday 26 April. The cost is $180 for 15 45minute sessions run at New Town High School on Friday evenings, starting on Friday 17 May. This program is also available to players in FDP/SDP.
We are also on the verge of announcing our own KHBA Skill Development Program. Details will be available shortly, but sessions will run at KSC, will most likely run for 8 weeks each term and cost around $10 per hour session. The groups will be small (around 12 players per group). With small groups we will be able to run multiple sessions during the week and so hopefully will be able to meet most peoples needs. Hopefully numbers will allow us to run beginners and more advanced groups.
