The Pakenham and District Basketball Association last night took a decisive step towards its future by voting to accept a three year Strategic Plan outlining the future direction of the Association.

The Association Strategic Plan represents a wide range of outcomes and strategies that will become the focus for the next three years. The Plan has taken several months in the development, and has included stakeholder engagement and input from Basketball Victoria development staff.

There will be flexibility and scope for the Association to re-evaluate strategies and outcomes if the direction of the Association requires it. The Plan is able to be refined to reflect current learnings and experiences, along with the opportunity to develop further strategies and priorities as they emerge.

The Association's Plan is supported by six key pillars:

• People
• Inclusion
• Growth
• Facilities
• Awareness
• Leadership

While the Association is dedicated to ensuring the continued success moving forward, it is also still accountable to the current core business that it must maintain.  This includes the development it has to its members - being players, coaches, referees, officials and volunteers.

A brief summary of the Strategic Plan is attached and will be spoken about in a formal setting at the Annual General Meeting.
