The Warriors Premier MMBL team ventured to Waverley and gave the Falcons all they could handle before just falling just short 63-57 while an undermanned Division 1 squad had a massive 85-47 win at home in Round 10 action.

The Premier Men opened up with an aggressive mindset and executed with precision on the offensive end while keeping Falcons BIG V Championship stars Brad Kelleher and Thomas Boyle in check at the other end to take a quarter time lead.

The next two quarters were an arm wrestle as neither team could gain the ascendancy but with five minutes on the clock the Falcons looked to hold sway until a late push by the Warriors gave them every chance to take the game but fell agonisingly short in the final stages (63-57).

The Division 1 squad led from start to finish against Keysborough with Luis Munoz bombing from range and Braden Venning patrolled the paint to claim a massive 85-47 win.

Coach's Comment:
The Premier game was my most fulfilling to date since I joined the club as we are starting to gel and execute our structures which is great so early in the piece and even more so as we have had different line-ups each week. Tim Bydder was outstanding against one of the premier point guards in Big V Championship while Jay Richardson (pictured right) anchored us at the defensive end and Savin Lopez showed a more aggressive mind set offensively which adds another dimension to us.

The Div 1 guys had a great win and signalled the depth the senior program has with player unavailability leaving the squad short but the guys still had a resounding victory.
