Brisbane Capitals U18 Boys Bronze v Redlands White

Redlands White started strongly hitting the first 6 points, but as the Bronze boys settled into the rhythm of the game they soon had the scoreboard reading in their favour. A lot of the first half scoring from BBI came off the back of their defensive pressure, then scoring in fast break transition. We were able to put the game out of reach to Redlands with a strong 3rd quarter and ran our offense well in the 4th to hit our shots from receiver spots. Resulting in a winning score of 85 – 42.

All the boys contributed at both ends of the court, including the following highlights

Captain Alex Hockings played tough defense and on offense he found new moves to get the ball through the hoop.

Fergus Harvey maintained his lead as the competition high scorer with 22 points.

The boys ran the offense perfectly to find Jacob Dawson open for a nice mid range jump shot late in the 4th Quarter.

Jack Meadows made a perfectly weighted half court pass to get Regan Cotter a buzzer beater score at the end of the game.

The team is looking forward to having Richard Prendergast recovered from an ankle injury and join the team for the first time this weekend, as we play for the opportunity to challenge to play in the Southern Cup.
