MOUNT ISA CITY COUNCIL GRANTS ASSIST WITH STADIUM BEAUTIFICATION

In the last round of council grants we were awarded $1000 worth of trees and shrubs that were planted by the IsaSkills work experience group in December 2012.

The trees filled in a lot of areas within the grounds that the work experience crew have maintained for us over the past twelve months.

It is hoped that future beautification projects will include picnic areas etc to give the stadium a much more family friendly atmosphere and usability.

We were also the benificiaries of a $2000 grant to go toward providing a playground for the children of our members. Along with funds raised through raffles at the Summer Grand finals in Dec and future raffles we will hopefully have a playground installed before mid-year.

The Mount Isa Basketball Association would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Mount Isa Council for the valuable contributions.
