Maribyrnong Basketball Association is a fantastic and vibrant community basketball association located in the western suburbs of Melbourne. The association runs its basketball competition at Rec west, 39 Lily St Braybrook Vic 3019. The facility is owned by the Maribyrnong City Council but it is managed by the YMCA which is a great organisation.

Currently, the association runs a domestic junior basketball competition on Saturdays and Senior competitions on Tuesday andWednesday nights. The association has a great management team from the supervisors to the Referees. We are going to be starting representative basketball teams next season. Currently we are open to registrations of Junior and Senior teams in both the Female and Male categories. The players don't have to be great at basketball to register into the competition because there are differentgrades that cater for every talent level. You will be tried out and put at a level that suits you and then slowly move up the grades asyou get better. So entering the competition is as simple as getting a few kids or friends together and calling Recwest on 93113400. 

Junior competition

Male and female (Saturdays)  U/10s to U/18s

U/20s to start next season.

Entry $1.50

Score Sheet $35 (about $6 per kid if you have about 6 on the team)

Registration (Insurance) $60

Seniors

Male and female (Tuesday and Wedsnesday nights)

Entry $2

Score Sheet $40 (About $6 each if you have 8 on the team)

Registration (Insurance) $140
