What is the Tooheys New Crew all about?
 
·      The Tooheys New Crew is a team of skilled tradies led by Paul “the Chief” Harragon on the road to do a million beers worth of favours for Australia.
 
What are they doing in Maitland?

·       Maitland is the first stop for the Tooheys New Crew in 2011 and on February 18 and 19, they will be undertaking some much needed renovations to the Maitland Federation Centre as a favour to our community.


·      The spectator facilities are getting a complete overhaul from team who are putting in new entertainment and function areas on the mezzanine level, which will then be fitted with seating to allow better viewing of the basketball courts. They are also be constructing new canteen and storage areas, putting in new carpet and giving it a lick of paint.
 
·       The Tooheys New Crew felt that the Federation Centre was a really worthwhile project as we service the whole of the Maitland community, and because there was such an overwhelming response from the community when they heard about it.

 

Can the Maitland community get involved?

 
·       The crew would love to have the local community get involved and welcome any offers of labour, products or services.   If anyone is interested in helping out, they can email the crew on crew@tooheysnewcrew.com.au.


·       Once the work has been completed, the Tooheys New Crew is inviting all of Maitland down to The Belmore Hotel on Saturday 19 February between 4pm-6pm to celebrate with some of the members of crew. The crew would like to shout everyone a beer to say thanks for the town’s show of support.
