DONALDSON COAL DECEMBER REFEREE OF THE MONTH
Connor Hilton has been award Donaldson Coal Referee of Month. Connor has only been refereeing for a year now but has really taken to role.
Connor said it was a friend that got him into refereeing basketball and it was really cool. "I like that you get paid to do it also", Connor said.
Connor really likes to referee because it has helped him with his confidence, learn more about the game as player and it keeps you really really fit. Connors ambition is to hopefully one day referee rep players and then go onto ref in the NBL and maybe the NBA.
Connor was happy to receive his new water-bottle, whistle and refs shirt from Kellie Fox - Competition Coordinator Maitland Basketball. All these items are courtesy of Donaldson Coal and Connor wished to thank them for the ongoing support of developing referees.
