NOVEMBER DONALDSON COAL REFEREE OF THE MONTH
Matthew Greenwood has been awarded the Donalson Coal referee of the month. Matthew (Matt) completed his referee's course earlier this year and has proved to be a very capable up and coming referee.
Matt has a very good understanding of the game through playing also. He is a well respected young man both on and off the court. At just 14 years old Matt has a very promising long refereeing career ahead of him. Matt travels to the stadium 3-4 days a week to be part of the Maitland Basketball Associations referee development squad. The squad is kindly supported by Donaldson Coal and Newcastle & Hunter Youth Development Trust. Thanks to the kind support, as part of the sponsorship Matt recieves his New whistle, Striped Referee Shirt and drink bottle. To present Matt with his graduation gifts was Kellie Fox - Competition Coordinator Maitland Basketball.
