2022 Queensland Lacrosse Membership Registration - Club/Association Affiliation
The 2022 Queensland Lacrosse Membership Registrations and Club/Association affiliations have now been set for 2022 and all clubs and organisations will need to ensure that all participants are covered under 2022 QLA membership. The process for registration for each affiliated club and their membership is through the online game day membership registration process.
Each member is to complete the online membership registration form within their nominated club. Please note that all and everyone involved with your club / organisation needs to complete and submit an online membership registration form. This relates to coaches, officials, timekeepers, scorers, committee members or any other individual who is assisting as a recognised volunteer within your club or organisation.
Membership completed online remains with the club of origin.
It is important to remember that any player who has transferred into your club / organisation from another affiliated club / organisation within Australia needs to complete the online transfer form process. This is a must do prior to the player taking the field for any competitions.
Clubs / Associations will receive an invoice for their annual member registrations fees at the conclusion of the 2022 season blocks. There are no fees associated with the affiliation of clubs/associations with Queensland Lacrosse Association inc.
The Member Registration of Queensland Lacrosse Inc is made up of two components:
- Lacrosse Australia membership and insurance
- Queensland Lacrosse Association Inc Capitation
Capitation
Capitation fees are per capita contributions that are made to the State and National bodies to support the funding of these organisations and assist them to service the sport.
Insurance
The insurance component of your membership protects your involvement in the sport and that of your club or association. As you would be aware, claims against negligence actions are increasing rapidly and we must all be aware of our duty of care to others involved in the sport.
The types of insurance that are included are:
- Public liability insurance covering legal liability to pay compensation to the general public for personal injury or damage to property while playing or volunteering for the sport.
- Player insurance to provide additional cover if you are injured while playing lacrosse.
