Following the recent annual general meeting of Queensland Lacrosse Association Inc, the following membership fees have been approved;
Senior Membership - $150-00 (UQ Membership - $135-00)
Junior Membership - $100-00
Senior Membership for either block one or block two - $80-00 (UQ Membership - $70-00)
Senior Casual Membership - $10-00 per game (limit of 3 games)
Volunteer Membership - NIL

2021 Queensland Lacrosse Quik Stix Program
Students of Tambourine Primary School recently enjoyed participating on the Lacrosse Australia Quik Stix program which was presented by members of Gold Coast Lacrosse Club. A very enthusiastic and keen response has seen more schools in the Tambourine region sign up for the program in 2022. Check out the photos of the program being delivere in the photo gallery link.

Everyone is welcome to come along to the annual presentation evening with some barefoot bowls thrown in to make for a fantastic evening for everyone to finish off what has been another great season of lacrosse in Queensland. 2021 National Lacrosse Championships
After much deliberation, the final details for the 2021 National Lacrosse Championships have been confirmed with the event to be held in Perth, Western Australia from Wednesday, 29th September to Monday, 1st October. The management committee of Queensland Lacrosse are very keen to support our men and women to train and compete at this event and in this regard, please find attached the following forms;
1) Application for coaching position - We are still seeking to confirm coaches for both the mens and womens teams to travel and compete.
2) Expression of Interest Form - This is to be completed and returned to QLA by those players who are interested in receiving further information on potential costs, accommodation, training, etc for this event. Please note the closing date for both forms. Late applications and expressions will not be accepted. Further information will be sent out following the closing of this first stage.

Spring Season - Resuming Saturday 15 August 2020
The Queensland Lacrosse League (QLL) will resume on Saturday 15 August 2020. In order to comply with the covid-safe guidelines, all players will be required to sign-in and out and maintain a distance of at least 1.5m when off the field. Lastly, please remember that if you are unwell, you must stay home.

- Saturday 22 August, Griffith University - Mt Gravatt (Sports Road) - women 10am & men 12pm

The State Championships are scheduled for 10 and 11 October at Griffith Uni (Mt Gravatt Campus). This will be an all-day event, and game times advertised close to the time.

2020 Queensland Lacrosse Summer
League - Covid19 Update
In consultation with Australian Lacrosse Association Ltd and following a meeting of the management committee of Queensland Lacrosse Association Inc all competition has been suspended indefinitely and this will take place immediately. This includes all scheduled Queensland Lacrosse summer league competition games and Queensland Lacrosse Association senior representative squad training.
Further to the above, the management committee would ask that all clubs suspend all activities - trainings, events, inhouse competitions until further notice.
The management committee will continue to communicate with Australian Lacrosse Assocation and provide ongoing updates as required.
We thank everyone for their patience and understanding and look forward to getting everybody back on the playing fields in the future.

2020 Queensland Lacrossee Summer
League Competition Update
Following on from further discussion and with the latest information presented from Australian Lacrosse Association Ltd along with the latest updates from Queensland Department of Health and Federal Government advice, the management committee has elected to continue with the 2020 Queensland Lacrosse Summer League.
However, we would ask that all players, officials, volunteers and spectators follow these control measures to help with the control, minimisation and impact of the CoVid 19 virus.
i) Until further notice,there will be no pre/post game handshakes. Players are requested to use stick taps instead.
ii) We advise all players, officials and volunteers to wash their hands regularly and/or use hand sanitiser where appropriate.
iii) Please refrain from drinking from other players water bottles. Bring your own and label it.
iv) Players should refrain from spitting onto the ground or in bins.
v) Players who feel unwell should inform their coach and avoid coming to practice or games until they are at full health.
Further to the above control measures, we would ask that everyone follow the advice provided by Queensland Department of Health and the Federal Government.
i) Wash hands often with soap and running water, for at least 20 seconds. Dry with paper towel oe hand dryer.
ii) Try not to touch your eyes, nose or mouth.
iii) Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. If you don't have a tissue cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve or elbow.
iv) Isolate yourself at home if you feel sick. If you take medication, ensure you have adequate supplies.
v) Phone your GP first if you need medical attention. They will tell you what to do.
vi) Continue healthy habits; exercise, drink water, get plenty of sleep and now is the time to quit smoking. Call the quitline 137848.
vii) Don't wear a face mask if you are well.
viii) Buy an alcohol based sanitiser with over 60 per cent alcohol.
ix) Get the flu shot (available April)
x) Shaking hands is optional

The sport of lacrosse has enjoyed a long and proud history dating back to the late 1800's and during this time, there have been many, many volunteers who have helped to keep the sport running for the enjoyment of all.
Queensland Lacrosse Association Inc are hoping to create a register of life members and are seeking information from present and past members who have been involved in the sport to support the creation of our life member register.
