The NSW Lacrosse Board of Directors has announced the grand decision to devote the entire resources of the organization towards having modcrosse teams being sent as part of the Mars One Colony crew
After zero deliberation, the Board of NSW Lacrosse Inc is pleased to push all remaining resources towards sending Fightin' Wombats to the Red Planet as part of the Mars One Colony to host the first Modcrosse game outside of Earth.
President Tim Koodrin, who brought up the motion at the most recent meeting, said he was inspired by the Val Kilmer movie 'Red Planet'. "I thought the whole thing was just terrible, and that with an actual colony being prepared, that we have to send a better crew. And there is no group more exciting, action packed and plot driven than our laxtastic bunch."
Using a loophole found in the fine print of the registration forms, the organization is legally able to force its players to attend the intra-solar competition or face dire consequences, such as being referred to as 'flakey'.
Being that space travel has a risk factor, safety was made paramount by the board. "We've made eye goggles mandatory for our martian wombats' said Omar al Khayat. 'There is nothing worse than being 225,300,000 km from home and than getting hit in the eye by an errant pass.'" Life-saving space suits are optional, however.
Many players were enthusiatic when asked about the Mars One Modcrosse game. Eloise Kirk noted "The lack of gravity should help my jumping ability"
Jack Stokes: "It's the perfect platform to take my game to the next level"
Kate 'Bob' Saunders: "That's a pretty f**king stupid idea"
Needless to say it's an exciting time for the Fightin' Martian Wombats, and we wish them the best of luck!
