Local Comp Highlights
Open Men
Mixed Nuts have entered the Open Mens competition & with their size & skill are so far undefeated. Watch out for the match up against the Bulldogs 10 November - James Morrison for the Bulldogs & Ben Fuller playing for Mixed Nuts. Both have consistently been top scorers every week.
Under 19 Boys
Spectators were impressed to witness a great shooting display by Jack Hickmott with a game high of 28 points against Speewa, His points consisted of five 3 pointers from 6 attempts. Nothing better than shooting 3's at a great percentage - Well done Jack!
Under 16 Boys
Liam Thornton consistently steps it up week after week - his dominance on the boards & his defensive pressure singles him out as the type of player coaches want to coach.
Under 14 Boys
Round 2 saw Rebels 51 def Tigers 41 with top scorer Nyawi Moore with 38 points & then he backed it up the following week with 35 poiints, along wih some fairly slick ball handling skills on his way to the basket.
Under 12 Boys
After registrations were slow, this competition has grown and some exciting basketball has been played. Brodie Palmer has been great each week defensively & offensively.
