Primary School Gala Day
Fantastic days were had at the stadium in August and September, with over 500 boys and girls dribbling, shooting and having a go at the Basketball Gala Days.
Teams competed from Bomaderry Public, Culburra Public, Nowra Anglican, Nowra Christian and Nowra Public schools, the action was great to watch.
Stage 3 was a combined boys and girls day on August 7, with Nowra Anglican College taking honours against Culburra Public in the boys competition and Culburra Public just edging out the Nowra Public girls.
Stage 2 boys took to the courts on Septmber 4 and at the end of the day, Nowra Public 1 took on Culburra Public 3 in the Grand Final game, with Culburra coming out winners, 5-0. In the play-off for 3rd and 4th, it was Nowra 2 against Nowra 3. Nowra 3 were victorious, taking out 3rd place and relegating Nowra 2 to 4th place.
An exciting game was played in the semi-final between Nowra 1 and Nowra 2. At the end of regular time, the scores were locked at 2 all. After a minute of extra time, the score hadn't changed and after free shots, the scores were still locked even. Finally, the game was decided on the flip of a coin, with Nowra 1 going through to the Grand Final.
Stage 2 girls had their day on Thursday September 10 with some tightly fought games held all the way to the end, with Nowra Christian School 1 victorious over Nowra Anglican College 1 in a nailbiter. Nowra Public 3 and Nowra Public 2 fought the playoff for 3rd and 4th place, with Nowra 3 snaring 3rd place.

A day like today wouldn't happen without the support of referees (all SBA Junior players), coaches (PASS students from Bomaderry High School) teachers, parents and those behind the scenes of SBA.
