Healthy Sports Environments
Colac Basketball has been selected to participate in the Healthy Sports Environment demonstration project operated by Leisure Networks. Colac Basketball is one of fifteen local sports clubs involved from the Colac Otway Shire and join the Geelong based clubs to be members of this project.Only 100 clubs where selected to participate.
The program will run for two years and Colac Basketball will have Six measures to attain. These include, healthy eating, reduced tobacco use, responsible alcohol use, UV protection, injury prevention and management, and safety, support and inclusion for women and girls, Indigenous people and those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
As members of tbis project Colac Basketball will be provided with funding of $3500 over the two year period.
Colac Basketball will be looking at conducting First Aid training and will be further developing our All Abilities program
