How to join & costs

All players who are selected, and wish to play, in a University Basketball team (in the BBI or GBL competition) must be a full member of the club before they play.
Full membership for 2012 costs $75 (students) and $95 (non-students). Social player memberships (non training teams) will cost $50 per player.
This includes team nominations, training and social functions. Unlike some clubs, we do not charge a fee per training session.
If you are playing in the BBI or GBL competitions, you will also need to pay for:
- BBI 2012 Registration - online membership $120 (which includes injury insurance) to be paid before you can play (which will be strictly enforced by BBI). Pleaseclick the following link to pay your BBI membership https://websites.mygameday.app/assoc_page.cgi?c=1-4826-0-0-0&sID=229214
- Game fees – approximately $15 per game
How to join
Each year the club organises trails for new members for both our women's and men's teams. The trials are a great opportunity for you to showcase your basktball skills, knowledge of the game and your ability to play at a high level. We encourage you to come along and participate.
The trial dates and times will be advertised on the UQ Basketball facebook page.
If you are unsuccessful in making a team, UQ Basketball organises a scrimmage on Saturdays from 2pm - 4pm at the ISP facilities on campus. A number of our current club players have sharpened their skills here and been invited to join a team.
We look forward to seeing you at the trails!
